Roomie

The Roomie page shows what the guest assistant did at your hotel this month: how many conversations guests had with her, how many requests and orders she filed, what it cost against your monthly limit, and how quickly she replied. Below that, Conversations by stay groups every conversation by room and booking: who stayed, how many sessions and minutes, spoken or typed, the language, what Roomie did, the orders she placed and their value, and what that stay cost.

Requests Roomie files appear on your normal boards marked via Roomie: the kitchen board, the housekeeping board and the desk’s messages.

  • Cost this month shows the spend against the limit Upstay set. At the limit, voice pauses and guests can still type.
  • Reply time is the typical reply; slowest 5% shows the slow end.
  • Requests & orders filed at the top counts what Roomie filed. A card’s actions also counts things like chasing the desk or withdrawing a request, so it can be higher.
  • Phone and ID numbers are hidden before anything is saved, no recordings are kept, and conversations are deleted after 90 days.
  • “Roomie is not switched on for this hotel. Ask Upstay to enable it.” → Contact Upstay to switch Roomie on.
  • “No guest staying now talked to Roomie today. Stays that have checked out are under Past stays.” → Try another day, or look under Past stays.
  • “No past stay matches that search.” → Check the booking ID or room number, or widen the dates.
