Leave
What it does
Section titled “What it does”Leave holds your hotel’s leave types and everybody’s balance, and it is where requests are approved.
A balance is drawn as pieces, oldest first, each with its own expiry - so you can see that six and a half days run out in March, and that those are the days being spent first.
Who can use it
Section titled “Who can use it”Managers and Admins (owners) decide requests. Everybody asks for their own leave from their own Today.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”Leave in the rail, under People.
How to decide a request
Section titled “How to decide a request”- Open Leave.
- Read the line under the request. It says what approving will cost: the days available, or that there is no balance left and approving makes those days unpaid.
- Click Approve or Decline.
If the request is over your own limit, the screen says Sent to the manager and it waits on the Decisions page. It is not approved until somebody with the authority approves it.
How to ask for leave
Section titled “How to ask for leave”- Open Today.
- On the My leave card, click Apply.
- Pick which leave, the dates and why.
- Click Ask.
Your manager decides. Nothing is approved by asking.
How to add a leave type
Section titled “How to add a leave type”- Open Leave.
- Click Add a leave type.
- Enter the Name, whether it is Paid, and how many days a year.
- Choose whether unused days carry forward, and the most that can.
- Choose whether it can be encashed when somebody leaves.

Tips & good to know
Section titled “Tips & good to know”- A holiday or a weekly off inside a leave range is not charged as leave.
- Too little balance does not refuse the request. It becomes unpaid, and the payslip shows it as loss of pay.
- Days are spent oldest first, so the days closest to expiring go first.
- A housekeeper or concierge gets a notification of your decision.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- “Sent to the manager” → The request is over your limit. It is waiting on Decisions, not approved.
- “No longer possible” → Something changed about those days after the request was made. Ask the person to apply again.
